Thinking Racers First
Event organizers Wes Buck and Richard Freeman developed the World Doorslammer Nationals with a plethora of objectives, but none more prominent than delivering the best experience possible for racers. From the insane payouts to the over-the-top production of the event, as well as the care and consideration taken, the “Doorslammer Nats” is an event for racers by racers.

From the fan turnout, racer and sponsor participation to the glorious weather and record-setting performances – perhaps nothing better illustrates the magic of the first-annual World Doorslammer Nationals than the final round of competition in our headlining Pro Stock eliminator.
The starting line was crowded with people – fans, fellow racers, sponsors and industry insiders – giving an outlaw feel to the typically “buttoned-up” Pro Stock division for perhaps the first time. Two legends were set to face off in a battle that would set the tone for an entire season.
